What do the area layers mean?

What are area layers?

Area layers are additional geographic information shown in different colours over the map. They help you understand a location's classification when data is available.

Currently available types

Shown only when available:

• Removal area.
• Informal area.
• Blocked site.
• Frozen land.
• Development project.
• Non-Saudi ownership zone.
• Planning restriction.

How to work with the layers

• A location may fall within more than one layer at the same time.
• A development project does not cancel out another restriction.
• Each layer shows an independent card when you click the location.
• A layer does not appear if it has no data.
• The legend at the top of the map shows the available types.
