What do the area layers mean?
What are area layers?
Area layers are additional geographic information shown in different colours over the map. They help you understand a location's classification when data is available.
Currently available types
Shown only when available:
- Removal area.
- Informal area.
- Blocked site.
- Frozen land.
- Development project.
- Non-Saudi ownership zone.
- Planning restriction.
How to work with the layers
- A location may fall within more than one layer at the same time.
- A development project does not cancel out another restriction.
- Each layer shows an independent card when you click the location.
- A layer does not appear if it has no data.
- The legend at the top of the map shows the available types.
Notice: Layers and coverage vary by city and source, and the information is for guidance.
