Managing Tenants
Where to find tenants
From the sidebar → "Tenants".
What the list shows
Each tenant with their basic details and contact information, plus the property, unit and contract they are linked to.
How a tenant links to your property
The link is the contract. A tenant is not attached to a property directly, but to a unit inside it, through a contract with a period and a value.
In practice that means:
- A tenant without a contract may appear in the list but with no linked unit.
- Ending a contract makes the unit vacant, while the tenant stays in your records.
- One tenant may be linked to more than one unit if they hold more than one contract.
Tenants coming from the Ejar platform
If the contract is registered in the Ejar platform, the tenant's details come from there and are displayed, not edited inside Property Management. See Ejar platform data.
The tenant portal
Tenants have their own portal where they follow what concerns them — maintenance requests and payments. See Tenant Portal — Complete Guide for the full detail.
If a tenant does not appear
- 1Check that a contract exists linking them to a unit. The link goes through the contract.
- 2Reopen the page.
- 3Check the search and filters at the top of the list.
- 4If you are a team member: check that you hold view tenants.
- 5If the data comes from the Ejar platform: see the dedicated article.
