Accounting in Property Management
Where to find Accounting
From the sidebar → "Accounting".
The accounting sections
| Section | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Invoices | Rent and service invoices |
| Receipts | Acknowledgements of what you collected |
| Expenses | What you spend on your properties |
| Financial reports | Income statement, cash flow and others |
| Verification | Checking that a financial document is genuine |
Income and expenses
Income comes from collecting rent and service charges. Expenses are what you spend on the property: maintenance, services, fees.
The difference between them is what the financial reports and summaries are built on.
How it relates to the Payments section
"Payments" is for day-to-day operations: who owes what and who is late.
"Accounting" is for financial record-keeping: the invoice, the receipt, the entry.
The two describe the same money from two different angles.
Why the Settings data matters
Invoices carry your establishment's details from the Settings section — name, national address, logo and invoicing details. If those are incomplete, they will be incomplete on the invoice too. See Property Management Settings.
Team members and accounting
Accounting and Payments are governed by the financial operations permission. A member without view for it does not see the section at all.
That is deliberate: financial figures are not something granted by default.
