Tenant Portal — Complete Guide
What is the Tenant Portal?
The Tenant Portal is a dashboard specifically for the tenant that appears in their account after accepting a linking invitation from the owner. Through it, the tenant can track all matters related to the rent and property.
How to Activate the Tenant Portal?
- 1The owner/marketer adds your details in the Property Management system
- 2They send you a WhatsApp or SMS invitation
- 3You register on Raghdan via the sent link (if not already registered)
- 4The linking invitation appears in your account — tap "Accept"
- 5The "Tenant Portal" icon appears in your dashboard
What's in the Tenant Portal?
When entering the portal, you'll find 4 main sections:
1. Rental Contract
Shows you your complete contract details:
- Property and unit name
- Owner/marketer name
- Contract start and end dates
- Monthly rent value
- Payment cycle
- Contract status (active, expired)
- Download PDF contract copy (if available)
2. Payments
Shows you the payments and installments schedule:
- All installments with due dates
- Status of each installment: paid (green), pending (yellow), overdue (red)
- Amount due, paid, and remaining
- Upload payment receipt — You can photograph and upload the transfer receipt directly
- After uploading the receipt, the payment status changes to "Awaiting Confirmation" until the owner confirms
How to upload a payment receipt:
- 1Tap on the pending payment
- 2Tap "Upload Receipt"
- 3Photograph the receipt or select it from your photo gallery
- 4Tap "Submit" — A notification will be sent to the owner to review the receipt and confirm payment
3. Maintenance Request
Allows you to send maintenance requests directly to the owner:
- Enter the problem title and description
- Select category (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Set priority (urgent, medium, low)
- Attach explanatory photos (optional)
- Tap "Submit Request" — It reaches the owner immediately with a unique request number
Track your requests:
- All your previous requests visible with status of each
- Request timeline: submission → receipt → execution → completion
- Unique request number for easy tracking
4. Contact Owner
- WhatsApp — Open a direct WhatsApp conversation with the owner/marketer
- Phone call — Direct calling
- Copy phone number — Copy number to clipboard
Summary of What a Tenant Can Do
- Track rental contract and its details
- View payment schedule and dues
- Upload payment receipts to the owner
- Submit maintenance requests with photos
- Track maintenance request status
- Communicate directly with the owner via WhatsApp or phone
- Unlink from the property when the contract ends
Important Notes
- The Tenant Portal only activates with an invitation from the owner — you cannot activate it yourself.
- The displayed data (contract, payments) is directly linked to what the owner enters in the Property Management system.
- Uploading a receipt doesn't mean payment is confirmed — the owner must confirm from their side.
- You can unlink at any time from the portal settings.
Common Issues
- Can't find Tenant Portal in my account: Haven't received a linking invitation yet — contact the owner to send the invitation.
- Can't see payments: The owner hasn't created a contract linked to your unit yet.
- Uploaded receipt but status didn't change to paid: Receipt is awaiting owner confirmation.
- Maintenance request won't send: Make sure all required fields are filled (title and category).
